Here’s a makeover that you probably never would have expected — a British architect renovated a public bathroom and transformed it into a modern home. ‘Renovate’ might actually be too simple a word to describe the massive amount of work that went into reviving the space. The bathroom was in a state of total disrepair. The ceiling was caving in, the flooring was destroyed, and there was very little that was untouched by decay. It looked more like the scene of a bombing than a public space. The architect gutted the bathroom fixtures and worked with the unique shape to create a very beautiful home. Long and narrow, the space benefits from an open, flowing floor plan. The original skylights were restored, but that’s the only thing that would let anyone know that this home might have been anything else in a past life. Take a look!
