Some homeowners end up thinking about form before function when designing their dream home, but this modern house in Germany decided to focus on both. The neighborhood restricts houses to one level, yet this home manages to have three separate floors. They succeeded by building the home into a hill and having two levels that are considered basements. The main floor features the bedrooms and the living areas. It also has an extremely unique room that has a huge section removed in favor of cargo netting. Described as a “hammock floor”, the space overlooks the patio below and is a huge hit with the kids. The upstairs bathroom has a curved entryway with a wall of glass bricks and uses purple as a strong accent color. The lower level features a kitchen with glass walls that lead directly to the patio. A staircase with a mesh cage running along it connects the floors. It’s a truly unique home that you have to check out!
