Managing a family household can sometimes feel like being the commander of a military unit! That’s why you need a family command center to keep everything organized! OK it doesn’t have to be quite as extreme as a military command center, but it should still be a space on a common area wall where you can keep track of family tasks and schedules. A family command center should have a calendar, some sort of erasable writing surface, a bulletin board, and some cubbies for storing items. Keep common items like envelopes, scissors, and pens in this area to make it a useful hub of activity. A command center usually works best in the kitchen where people are guaranteed to see it and take note of it. You’ll be amazed how much utility this sort of space can add to your home!
