An old, crumbling, stone home in Chicago was on its absolute last legs until a new homeowner and a creative team of designers gave it a new lease on life with an absolutely mind-blowing modern update. The original home was built in the 1970s and was comprised of drab, uninspired sand-colored bricks with an appalling wood-paneled back wall. The update added an entire second level with glamorous glass walls, tall ceilings, and high-end materials like marble counters, natural wood walls and cabinets, and a colorful new exterior wall.
