Anyone would love the luxury of a 260 square foot master bathroom. But what if the layout was terrible, the features were oversized and obtrusive, and the design was outdated? Suddenly that spacious bathroom feels more like a cavernous waste of space. This was the state of affairs when designer Nathan Kyle came on board to help transform this oversized master bathroom into a modern day masterpiece.
The original, large bathroom managed to get everything wrong. The toilet and the shower were smushed together in a separated corner of the room while the vanity only had one sink. The rest of the room functioned as some sort of closet, although there was no room to actually hang clothes. The one word to describe the original bathroom would be “disaster”.
The new bathroom design centered on the reimagining of the shower space. A large, two-person shower was added to the middle of the room. The shower is elegantly encased in a glass cube that has two doors across from each other. Each door has a matching vanity and counter beside it so that the space is finally suitable for a couple. Just outside the shower is a beautiful white tub that helps separate the room into perfectly-defined spaces. Moisture-resistant, faux wood was used on both the walls and the floors to round out the design.
The finished bathroom is a massive improvement. Everything that the original design was lacking has been made up for with the renovation. Take a look at the full article below to see all the before and after photos!
