When a couple of food-loving homeowners in Washington, DC were given the opportunity to redesign their house, they went into the project knowing that they wanted to create a kitchen where they could spend hours cooking and eating and entertaining guests with elaborate meals. That idea became the central design philosophy and the rest of the home was designed in service of that concept. The kitchen is now part of an open floor plan that opens up into a grand living room with a large glass wall that leads directly into the backyard patio. With the back door open there’s no barrier between outdoor space, indoor space, and kitchen. A second story balcony overlooks the living area. The entire space flows so smoothly and the high-end, modern design creates bold, sleek lines at every corner. Take a look at the photos to see how it all came together so beautifully!
