It’s incredibly chic to have an entire wall of shelving in your home, but it can often create a bit of a design dilemma. The dilemma? Too much blah and not enough visual interest. You can add all the small pieces of art you want to break up the monotony of a line of books, but it’s often not enough. The design solution is to add some boxes to the shelves that nestle perfectly within the space provided. The boxes are painted in bright colors as well as contrasting colors with the wall and the shelves so that they stand out from their surroundings. This manages to create an astounding amount of visual interest and really breaks up the boredom inherent in a row of books.
