Rainy days are the bane of many existences. You can’t walk the dog without preparing to clean up after muddy paws; you can’t let the kids out without preparing to clean up after muddy sneakers; you can’t go out without an umbrella or risk ruining your hair (and let’s be real, this goes for men and women alike).
While it’s not wrong to suggest visits to nearby places, such as museums, or exploring your city more thoroughly, there’s also something to do for the homebody who wants to sit inside without letting the constant drizzle outside be a mood-killer. Turn it into a mood-enhancer! Let the sound soothe you. Do things by candle-light. Try out new recipes or indulge in your hobbies.
Unfortunately, rainy days can go on forever depending on where you live, so you might want to consider the outdoor alternatives eventually, or you’ll default to the suggestion about blowing up balloons and kicking them around. It’s really more of a family list than one for couples, and especially not so great if you’re living solo.
But surely there’s something here that strikes your fancy that will allow you to make the most of a dreary day!
